Friends, what do you think it means to be an Artist?
I will not be mistaken if you say that this is a person who draws and .... You will be right!
But what he draws will depend on the interest and love of the artist, as well as his own views on the world. In other words, under the means of a pictorial language, the artist expresses his self, his creative thoughts, feelings and ideas on canvas, paper, wood, glass, plastic ....
As a rule, any work begins with an plan or idea. Now the question is, where do they come from? No matter how trite it may sound, but ideas surround us everywhere. They may appear suddenly, as if from nowhere! The main thing is to find it interesting for your painting mural or decor. How nice it is when a new topic for implementation appears ...
And why we need art and what does it give? For all artists, the answer may be different, ambiguous .. but I know for sure that for every creative person this is a way of self-expression, right? In my life art occupies 85%, I live and breathe it, creativity occupies most of my life. A lot, I know, but that’s the only way to be creatively revealed. This is not only a pleasant hobby, but also self-knowledge, the ability to measure your capabilities. I began to understand the world better when I work in different techniques and on different surfaces (canvas, wall, glass, furniture.) In the language of metaphor can say this: “Art lives inside me, deep under my skin”
Let me introduce myself my name is Viktoria Latka, I live and work in the South of France, in Sunny Cannes. Born in the Soviet period USSR, in the glorious city of St. Petersburg / Russia today/ the French citizen with Russian roots. Live in France since 2001, speak Russian, French, little English and Polish. Since childhood, interested in different kinds of creativity. Later became interested in pattern and decoration, but it was not possible to study properly as an artist. And only in adulthood, at age 36, I had an amazing opportunity, which fundamentally changed the quality of my life. Fortune turned to me a new creative face! I went to a private school in Nice on the artist decorator. Successfully graduated in 2011. But my creative hunger only intensified, and I began to study many things, so to speak, by their own trial and error. I will say that this is one of the best way of learning and knowledge, because self-education has always helped man in various spheres of life . I paint with oil, acrylic, and even stained glass paints. In addition to still lifes and landscapes, love painting large paintings for the interior with gilding. I love the decor and painted furniture, this is a special art form. I created video lessons on decorating furniture and creating decorative paintings. Unfortunately, today there are lessons only in Russian language. I plan to translate them into English for a wider audience
I took part in contemporary art exhibitions in the south of France, my works also participated in an exhibition in Japan, along with other French artists
What gives me my creativity?
I will say with confidence that my work raises my self-esteem, makes me stronger and happier ... And this is already enough, even more than enough. A creative worldview defines a person’s inner world, and the more interesting he is, the more you want to share it. Each has its own purpose, what do you think?
